“ I use a variety of mediums to include household gloss paint, acrylic, gouache and spray paint; Indian and drawing inks; charcoal, graphite; oil sticks; any collaging materials; and fine liners and paint pens.
My work intuitively explores the combination of intense identity change, isolation, growth, and empowerment during grief; with an aim to balance spontaneity, creativity, and skill.”

Through compassionately-led, socially informed efforts, Helen primarily creates immersive, bold, and textured abstract paintings with an aim to speak on social justice, systemic inequalities, and associated impacts of CPTSD and trauma, connecting with viewers depth, humanity and power.
