About H.ART

“ it's a mood ”

Contemporary, Expressionist, Abstract Paintings

"…immersive and magnetic…"

H.ART is the culmination of self-taught, abstract, contemporary, mixed-media artist (and creator) Helen (she/her/they/them)

Experiencing significant bereavement since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Helen has utilised her grief to redirect their passion into a business endeavour, choosing to seize the moment to independently invest in her craft, ditching the office desk for the easel - using lived experiences as the drive. Not only to create, but to inform their prospects as a socially informed artist, in supporting wellbeing in communities misrepresented or, misjudged.

At this stage of her career, Helen aims to facilitate workshops and collaborate with charities and community projects to support those affected by grief, addiction, carer fatigue, homelessness and isolation; while also diligently championing the successes of her queer and female-identifying peers.

Having painted and created for her lifetime, Helen has curated her own expressive style to offer a space where all your needs are held in a moment, on the canvas, expressing what can't always be - in any other way - other than in moments of pausing and contemplation.

Using art as a way to freely explore emotions has functioned as a form of therapy for Helen. It has allowed her to explore new mediums and techniques, to combine materials and work in the realm of mixed media.

Her abstract practise particularly explores the modulating tension between spontaneity, creativity, and skill to convey complex emotional, mental or spiritual states.

H.ART - it’s a mood - has plans to expand their product range into scale-able prints, cards, tote bags and other more accessible experiences of these unique bursts of texture and colour.
