Planetary Series ‘22

After a period of experimentation (with various techniques, tools and materials) I am thrilled to share my latest creations, a selection of oil-based paintings, mixed media and/or acrylic paintings on stretched canvas.

My second cohesive release, Planetary Series ‘22, is a series of contemporary abstract & expressive artworks using metal, and other oil-based household paints. By learning to manipulate the weight and viscosity of the various composites and colours (as well as their co-interactions & pigmentations), these artworks demonstrate how balanced combinations of this choice of medium can bring a contrasting, and distinctly bold texture & depth to a piece.

Each artwork resonates, as it is being created, with inter/intra-planetary forces & cycles in which we are embedded and connected.

As always there is a mouth-watering selection of colours, aligned with an impulsive pull of texture, to encourage the viewer to feel a sense of comfort within the artwork and what it aims to express; alternatively, creating discomfort in the presence of its impact, allowing the opportunity to reflect and become present.
