______________________
This piece (‘hypoxia‘) takes inspiration from the agricultural and industrial pollution (over-farmed and chemicalised coastlines & oceans) - notably in the Baltic Sea (‘dead zone’); this piece aims to capture & respect the impact of the natural processes at play across our planet, here in which rapidly reproducing and rising phytoplankton & algae blooms have created a visually mind blowing image of whirling green and blue tones in response to depleting oxygen levels within the sea (i.e. hypoxia/ or hypoxic conditions).
Each artwork resonates, as it is being created, with inter/intra-planetary forces in which we are embedded and connected.
